A new treatment for TBI

As some of you may know, I experienced a traumatic brain injury in May of 2008.

When I was released from the hospital neuro unit the day after my injury, I was given NO recommendations or referrals for future care.   And, needless to say, I was in NO shape to go out to find a doctor or appropriate treatment myself, so I did nothing but heal very slowly alone.

Later I did some internet research which seemed to indicate there weren’t many useful treatments to bring my memory back to where it had been before the accident.   Now I see there are probably as many alternative treatments for head injuries as there are different types of injuries.

I have recently happened into a new brain integration treatment that appears to be helping me slowly but surely.   I have only had two treatments, but I am certainly enjoying the results!

Nancy Evans at Open Pathways to Learning, here in Fort Collins, Colorado is a registered nurse with lots of additional training.   She has successfully treated many kids and adults with brain integration problems including a brain-injured Iraq war vet whom other doctors had given up on.

I am slowly feeling that confused feeling recede as I feel a little bit more confident and comfortable with my re-adjusted brain.  I’ll keep you posted on my progress!
